Each week in Ms. Bruce's middle school positive peer relationship group, students work together while playing Jenga. Peeling away the wonders of science one banana at a time! That's exactly what Athan Ledger accomplished during science class with Mrs. Hourihan and Mr. Lamitie in the middle school library. Using the skin of a banana to create a circuit to operate controls on the computer screen. How cool! Due to the high winds and anticipation of blowing snow later in the afternoon, Malone CSD is canceling all after school activities for this evening, Monday, Jan. 27, 2025.
The school counselor at Flanders Elementary fosters positive relationships with students by gathering with them for lunch bunch and working on important projects! One of the most valuable lessons our students can learn is to take pride in giving back to their local community and understand that the work they do has a purpose. Our middle schoolers have been doing just that during a recent project where they wrote 630 holiday cards (in English and French) that were shared with The Farrar Home, The Alice Center, and residents who receive Meals on Wheels. Just another reason why Malone is such a special place. #HeartOfAHusky 💚
Last Friday, the Flanders PTO put on a movie night!
Our St. Joseph's Elementary students dazzled the audience during their winter concert Thursday night!
Food trucks serve up some delicious food, but a lot of work goes into owning one! Recently, our 7th graders from the Dream Team learned the entire process from developing a theme, to creating a logo and a slogan, putting together a menu, making a business plan, obtaining a loan, and building model food trucks. Russ Kinyon from the Adirondack Economic Development Corporation, StMaple LLC, and Lightning Lardy's BBQ also stopped at the middle school to share their expertise and provide our students with treats.
